SafeRoads. v. L.B.B.
SafeRoads. v. L.B.B.
(SafeRoads Alberta - Impaired Driving). This SafeRoads case is all about the process. In this case the driver was involved in a relatively serious driving incident that resulted in a police chase, deployment of a spike-belt and a vehicle pitting maneuver. The only reason LBB filed a SafeRoads dispute was because there was no information uploaded to the SafeRoads portal to meet the document requirements as set in section 2 of the SafeRoads Regulation. LBB had a hearing on October 3rd, 2023. As a result of non-compliance with the minimal requirements in the legislation, the adjudicator really had no choice but to cancel roadside sanctions.
