R. v. J.C.C.
R. v. J.C.C.
(Calgary, P.C. - Assault and Mischief). There are many Calgary criminal defence lawyers to choose from. Some are experienced, some are not; some are naturally gifted, some not; some are better at running a business than running a case. It's important for you to do your due diligence before hiring a defence lawyer. JCC hired David Chow to help with an assault charge. JCC's case was interesting. It involved an altercation in a local car wash. The altercation began with rude, aggressive and impatient behaviour by the complainant, who was behind the accused's vehicle in the car wash. Though the accused did nothing wrong, the complainant brashly laid on her horn while the accused was washing the car. After enduring the complainant of a period of time, the accused confronted her. Allegations of assault and mischief were made by the complainant. The case was ultimately resolved by way of Alternative Measures. Though the accused had a favourable optics case and a number of very credible defences, the trial fees combined with uncertainty of trial prompted the AMP resolution. A good criminal defence lawyer will evaluate your case while at the same being sensitive to your wallet.
