R. v. S.L.

Client’s case was taken over from another lawyer at preliminary inquiry.  The client was in custody.  After the preliminary inquiry, defence counsel made application before the preliminary inquiry judge for the client’s release based upon weaknesses exposed in the Crown’s case.  The issue concerned eyewitness identification. The Crown agreed and the client was granted bail.
