R. v. L.M.

(Calgary PC) Client was charged with impaired driving and over 80. The trial judge excluded evidence relating to the over 80 due to an infringement of the clients section 8 Charter protected interests guarding against unreasonable search and seizure.  As a result, the trial judge was left with a reasonable doubt regarding the impaired driving.  Though the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms continues to be neutered, it remains one of the most powerful instruments to defending a criminal charge.  David Chow is a Calgary impaired driving lawyer who understands Charter rights. In his view, your Charter protected interests are his Charter protected interests.  Indeed, your Charter protected interests are everybody's Charter protected interests.
