Client was charged with over two dozen firearms related charges in relation to seven illegal handguns. After an elongated trial, which involved substantial issues argued pursuant to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the accused was acquitted on all charges on grounds that the trial judge was left with reasonable doubt that the accused had the requisite degree of knowledge about the existence of the firearms.
